    Abstract

Websites if are not able to can be really problematic especially if you are the only person who cannot open it. The issue might be from the back-end when no one is able to open the website but when a single user is not able to open the website then the problem becomes bigger. This blog will focus on different methods to run a website which is not opening and how it can be avoided in the future.

    Introduction

Sometimes when you want to access your social media but could not seem to do it because an error is popping up on your screen saying that this website cannot be reached. The issue can be related to the network simply or a router is simple not connected properly. But, in this case the main focus is to detect problems with a single website only which is not opening. The issues can be related to browser or cookies and cache or it can be related to the antivirus. Following are the different ways which can be used to troubleshoot opening of a one particular website.

    Clear Cookies and Cache

Browser can sometimes collect random data which creates a problem to access a particular website. It can be cleared by clicking on the Three dots of the browser (Chrome in this case), and clicking on more tools followed by Clear browsing data. The following screen will appear and clearing the browsing data might run the website

If still the website does not run, the the technique is to switch browsers.

    Switch Browsers

Maybe you are a fan of using Chrome or you prefer using Firefox but if by switching to another browser does help in running the website then by simply deleting that particular web browser and installing it back again will resolve the problem. If the issue still persist then problem might be related to antivirus.

    Antivirus Stoppage

Antiviruses are really helpful but they can create some problems like slowing of computer, network slowing and sometimes website not running. Sometimes, a website can be added as an exception which would just leave website without checking but it can also be an issue behind website not running. Clearing the website from exception list can help in running the website. Also, stopping the antivirus for a while and then checking the website can bring back the website to work. After website is working, simply turn on the antivirus and the website will be clear to go.

If the problem still persist then DNS Flushing might help.

    DNS Flushing

This method will help in flushing the DNS addresses and clearing them so that they would work fine. In order to do that, simply type command prompt in the Windows search option and type ipconfig/ flushdns as shown below:

If not one method but combining them will eventually resolve the problem and website will run fine.

    Conclusion

Websites not running can be really frustrating but more frustrating can be if one particular website is not opening and only one user is facing the problem. In order to run the website there are different troubleshooting techniques like dns flushing, stopping the antivirus, switching to another browser. Depending on where the problem lies, it can be easily solved within few steps.
