Google Drive is a cloud-based storage solutions that work well across multiple platforms: smartphones, tablets, or computers. Not only does it simplify the process of storing and sharing data, but you can also use it to collaborate with others. This is also a common task that many customers at CROS requested assistance for.
Install Google Drive for desktop
Below are the steps to install Google Drive on your desktop to save you time on the extra steps to access your account through a web browser.
- Download Google Drive for desktop
- Open the downloaded file to install
- Follow the instructions. Once the installation is completed, a drive will be created on either My Computer (Windows) or Google Drive File Stream (macOS).
Access you drive
- Depending on your operating system, you will be able to find them:
- For Windows, the bottom right of your screen
- For Mac, top right of your screen
- Sign in to your account
Make files available offline
- Select Google Drive for desktop
- Open Google Drive folder
- Right-click the file you want to make available offline
- Select Google Drive > Available offline. If the file is now available offline. The symbol will be changed from to , but once it is completed you should see a green tick mark next to it
