If you have read a previous blog called “How to Install Windows 10 on a Mac Using Boot Camp Assistant”, you will already know how to run Windows operating system on a Mac device. This blog will teach you another way to do so. This blog will go over how to download and install Oracle VirtualBox on a Mac, which you can use to run Windows operating systems. This approach allows you to run multiple operating systems simultaneously.
Step 1: Download the software
Oracle VirtualBox is free software that can be downloaded from here.
Step 2: Configure the virtual machine
After the program finished downloading, you need to select the new virtual machine and assign a name.
Then, you need to select the size of the RAM you will allocate to Windows. The best advice is to stay within the green bar and then choose a Dynamically Allocated disk, as shown below in screenshots.
After that, you can configure the settings, such as allocating more cores in the System. Next, you need to select “Empty.” Finally, you need to select the Virtual Optical Disk File to point to your ISO.
Step 3: Launch the Windows installer
Now, you can click the green Start button in the toolbar to launch the Windows installer. You can set it up the same way you would a new PC. You can choose “Custom Install”, then select your hard drive, and click “New” to format it.
